Attorney Dr Bernard Tubego-Bulawayo is an Attorney of the Courts of Botswana, with special interest in Intellectual Property Law (Patents, Industrial Designs, Trademarks and copyright). He has served in the Research, Science, Technology and Innovation space in Botswana at various stations in different capacities including executive leadership for more than twenty years.

Attorney Dr Bernard Tubego-Bulawayo is an Attorney of the Courts of Botswana, with special interest in Intellectual Property Law (Patents, Industrial Designs, Trademarks and copyright). He has served in the Research, Science, Technology and Innovation space in Botswana at various stations in different capacities including executive leadership for more than twenty years.

Dr Tubego-Bulawayo holds a PHD Chemical Engineering (Cape Town), an MA Biotechnological Law and Ethics (Sheffield), an MSc Biotechnology (Zimbabwe), a BSc Biology and Chemistry (Botswana), a Bachelor of Laws (LLB, UNISA) and Certificates in Patent drafting; Technology Transfer & Licensing; and Intellectual Asset management, from institutions that include the WIPO Academy, the Global Intellectual Property Academy , United States Patent and Trademarks Office, and Centre d’Etudes Internationales de la Propriete Intellectuelle (France). He has undertaken Research Fellowships with the Osaka Municipal Technical Research Institute (Japan) and Shriram Institute for Industrial Research (India).

Dr. Bulawayo is a member of the International Intellectual Property Law Association (IIPLA); Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) and Associate of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law (SAIIPL). He is a Board member of the Companies and Intellectual Property Authority (CIPA-Botswana) and a member of the Council of University of Botswana Council.
